Hilarious First Day

Okay, yesterday was actually a kind of crummy day, but the first class of the term went really well.

Now I’ll tell you a funny story:

So, for my icebreaker I let the students ask me whatever they want and then I proceed to tell them about my titaniumtastic heart.  I think that’s a cool thing, so then I want to know cool things about them and most everyone has a medical weirdness, so that’s fun.  Well, I started on the “sheep” side of the room (on my right hand) and we go around the class talking about horrible breakages, lost nails (toe and finger), broken necks, rolled cars, freakish low blood pressure, all kinds of fun things.  Well, I got to the last student (literally) and you’ll never guess what his malady was: he tends to get faint or actually faint when hearing about other people’s medical problems!  I’m standing in front of the class with my hands over my face caught between horror and hysterical laughter!  It had to be the best ending to student introductions ever, I still want to laugh/cry/etc. over the absurdity and hilarity of coincidence of it all.  I think I’m really going to like this class.
