Write about a defining moment in your life.
The first thing that came to mind was my thesis. My defense was so awesome that I was completely pumped on grad school (again). It took me awhile, but I got to the other defining moment, the rekindling of that desire to go to grad school, and the idea that I could actually be competitive for a higher tier school.
